CodeHype
Refund & Cancellation Policy
CodeHype paid listings provide immediate digital promotional benefits, so we operate a clear no-refund-by-default policy, with reasonable exceptions for duplicate payments, failed delivery, and other situations described below.
Effective August 26, 2026Last updated August 26, 2026
01. Overview
CodeHype lets founders submit products for free. Paid options — Plus Listing, Pro Listing, and Homepage Spotlight — unlock additional visibility and promotional benefits on the platform. Submitting a product does not require payment.
Because these paid offerings are digital promotional services that can deliver immediate and ongoing exposure once activated, purchases are generally non-refundable after the purchased benefit has been activated or delivered. Limited exceptions apply, as described in this policy.
This policy covers only the paid products CodeHype currently offers: Plus Listing, Pro Listing, and Homepage Spotlight. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Pricing page.
02. Plus Listing
Plus is a paid listing upgrade that provides enhanced visibility and promotional benefits for an approved product on CodeHype.
- Once Plus benefits have been activated or meaningfully delivered, the purchase is not refundable because of a change of mind or unused expectations about results.
- Duplicate or accidental charges may be reviewed for a full refund when reported within 14 days of the payment.
- If CodeHype fails to deliver the purchased Plus benefits because of a technical issue on our side, we will work to correct the problem or provide an appropriate refund.
- If CodeHype rejects the product before the paid Plus benefits are delivered because it does not meet platform requirements, you may request a refund.
A refund is not available solely because you decide you no longer want Plus after the benefits have already been delivered.
03. Pro Listing
Pro is a higher-tier paid listing option that includes additional promotional visibility and listing benefits beyond Plus.
- After Pro benefits have been activated or meaningfully delivered, the purchase is generally non-refundable.
- Duplicate or accidental Pro payments may be reviewed for a full refund when reported within 14 days of the payment.
- If delivery fails because of a CodeHype technical issue, we may refund or correct the purchase so you receive what you paid for.
- If CodeHype rejects the product before delivering the purchased Pro benefits because it violates platform requirements, you may request a refund.
- Refund decisions focus on whether the purchased Pro benefits have already been delivered or substantially used.
04. Homepage Spotlight
Homepage Spotlight is a paid promotional placement that features a product in a prominent homepage position for the purchased promotional period.
- Once the Homepage Spotlight placement has started, payment is generally non-refundable because that promotional inventory has been reserved and made unavailable to other products.
- Before the placement starts, a cancellation request may be eligible for a refund if CodeHype has enough time to reasonably reallocate the slot.
- If CodeHype cannot provide the purchased Homepage Spotlight placement because of a technical or operational issue on our side, we may offer an equivalent replacement period or refund the affected portion.
- If CodeHype rejects the product before the placement begins because it violates the Terms or listing requirements, you may request a refund.
- Changing your mind after the placement has started does not qualify for a refund.
Eligibility for pre-start cancellations is reviewed case by case and is not automatic.
05. Fraud & Manipulation
Refund exceptions described in this policy do not apply when an account or product is suspended, restricted, removed, or terminated for violations of CodeHype’s Terms, Launch Guidelines, or other platform rules.
Examples of conduct that may lead to enforcement include:
- Artificially inflating votes, views, clicks, or other engagement signals.
- Using bots, scripts, fake accounts, or coordinated manipulation.
- Creating duplicate or disposable accounts to influence rankings or engagement.
- Payment fraud or unauthorized use of payment methods.
- Providing misleading or deceptive listing information.
- Promoting prohibited, illegal, infringing, or deceptive products.
- Abusing refunds or chargebacks.
Where violations occur, CodeHype may remove listings, reset manipulated engagement, revoke paid promotional benefits, restrict accounts, or terminate accounts as reasonably necessary to protect the platform and other users.
06. Chargebacks & Disputes
If something goes wrong with a purchase, please contact CodeHype first so we can review the issue and attempt to resolve it. Email business.codehype@gmail.com with the details listed in section 07.
Opening a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in the related account or paid benefits being temporarily restricted while the dispute is investigated. This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
07. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email business.codehype@gmail.com and include:
- The email address used for the purchase.
- The product URL on CodeHype.
- The paid listing type: Plus, Pro, or Homepage Spotlight.
- The approximate purchase date.
- The payment receipt or transaction details, if available.
- A short explanation of the refund request.
We aim to review refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method and payment processor. Timing after approval depends on the processor and your financial institution.
08. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to limit mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you under applicable law. If a mandatory right conflicts with a part of this policy, that right prevails to the extent required.
09. Changes
CodeHype may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy as our paid products and services evolve. The current version will always be published on this page, and material updates will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
